BIOGRAPHY
Sarah Ribeiro is a Brazilian harpist and pianist who began her piano studies at the age of eight at the Music Conservatory in her hometown, Patos de Minas. Between 2016 and 2017, the musician studied piano under Professor Flávia Botelho at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). In 2017, her participation in the Cora Pavan Capparelli Conservatory Piano National Competition, in Uberlândia, earned her an honorable mention for the transparency of the classical sound.
In 2018, Sarah moved to Belo Horizonte to study the harp and enrolled at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Piano, under the guidance of professors Adalmário Pacheco and Stefanie Freitas. During this period, the pianist participated in masterclasses with Solunga Liu, Ney Fialkow, Cristina Capparelli, Sally Pinkas, and Evan Hirsch (Hirsch-Pinkas Piano Duo). The harp studies began with Professor Marcelo Penido, through the Complementary Instrument course, during her undergraduate studies.
In 2024, Sarah enrolled in the Bachelor's degree program in Harp at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, which she is currently pursuing. The harpist has participated in several concerts with the Symphony Orchestra of the UFMG School of Music and performed as a soloist in 2025 alongside Marcelo Penido and the Symphony Orchestra of the UFMG School of Music in the Concerto for two harps and orchestra, The Passion of Angels, by Marjan Mozetich. Sarah has also participated in harp masterclasses with Elizabeth Hainen, Alexander Boldachev, Anneleen Schuitmaker, Mariko Anraku, Anaëlle Tourret and Eloïse Labaume. In 2025, she was selected to participate in the 14th SESC International Music Festival in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul.
Sarah is also dedicated to music pedagogy, working as a piano teacher for children and is involved in composition and chamber music. Since 2024 the musician has been a member of a harp duo and, since 2025, of the Camará Trio, formed by harp, flute and violin. The trio was selected for a cultural project of the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais, performing a recital at the Assembly Theater. Currently, the harpist is a member of the OAcademy Orchestra Institute 2026.
